Finding Time for God | Free Printable Devotion
Many of you tell me that you struggle to find the time to spend with God. I get it. When I was a young mom with kids, a job, church responsibilities, and little time for myself, I struggled, too.
I wanted to grow my faith, but the time seemed to get away from me no matter how hard I tried. The many responsibilities were at times overwhelming.
And then I felt guilty for another day that slipped by with little more than a whispered prayer and the pages in my Bible left unturned.
Eventually I cried out to the Lord and begged for His help. He led me to a resource that enabled me to spend just 15 minutes a day with the Lord. And that was enough to draw my heart close to Him in that season of life.
Today I want to share some resources that I think will help you. I partnered with a friend of mine to offer you a FREE devotion along with some Bible journaling printables.
Sometimes the best answer to finding time with God is to share a Bible project with your kids.
My friend Bethany is a creative blogger over at pitterandglink.com who happens to LOVE Bible journaling. She has created some beautiful Bible journaling freebies to go with a short devotion of mine that you can read in just a few minutes.
The printables are simple, including traceables that can be printed on clear sticker paper and some colorful objects such as tabs and such. You can let your kiddos help you and make a fun project to do with them.
If you don’t have time for Bible journaling, you can still print and read the devotion for FREE.
Today’s devotion is from my book, Seeking Truth: 365 Days in the Wisdom and Poetic books of the Bible, a daily devotional for women based on the books of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs.
This devotion reminds us that every good thing we have comes from God, our faithful Father. We can trust Him with whatever we face because He is good.
“LORD, you have assigned me my portion and cup; you have made my lot secure.”
Psalm 16:5, NIV
Aren’t you glad we have a loving Father who not only wants to provide, but also fills our cups until they overflow with His goodness?
I so hope you enjoy spending this time with the Lord, even if you have never experienced Bible journaling. Now is a great time to experiment with these beautiful printables Bethany designed just for you.
You can download the free devotion here.
