This week I wrote a guest post for Laura Bailey, so I want to share a little about her and her blog with you, my readers.
Trading in her power pumps and successful career in sales for yoga pants and role as full-time mom, Laura is learning to embrace small-town, rural life on twenty-five acres that she never envisioned for herself. At any given time you can find her baking her famous lemon-loaf for a shut-in, sipping strong, black coffee with a friend, frying home-grown okra for her husband, or reading in her silliest voice to her girls.
Deeply burdened for Christian women who, like herself, juggle marriage, motherhood, careers, church, and community, Laura candidly shares her own daily struggles and lessons learned to encourage them live to fully and abundantly in Christ. She writes with honesty and humor from her laundry room at www.laurarbailey.com.
I’m thankful for my friendship with Laura. Her heart for women and ministry is very evident in her writing, as seen in the following quote from her blog.
“Are you starving your soul while simultaneously satisfying the cravings of your flesh? Are you plagued by constant inner conflict because you have yet to yield every area of your life to Christ? The peace you seek comes first from receiving God’s ultimate gift, grace through faith, then daily surrendering your life to Christ by trusting and obeying Him completely. Then you will discover that your Heavenly Father is able to give to you everything, exceedingly and abundantly, above all that you could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).”
I hope you will visit with her a little while, check out things she offers on her website, and sign up for her devotions as well!
